WHO ARE WE?
We are Hugo Hõbeoja, Raul Tubarik, and Artur Sibul – students at Tallinn Gustav Adolf Grammar School and the creators of TalkSocial.
Our mission is to help people build confidence, develop social skills, and make new connections.
We have developed DropYourComfort – a 66-card game designed to gently push players outside their comfort zones. The game is based on psychological principles and brought to life through the illustrations of artist Maria Pluutus.
The game has been evaluated and recommended by psychologists Mare Pork, Tuuli Junolainen, and Tõnis Arro.
WHERE DID THE IDEA COME FROM?
The idea for DropYourComfort was born from two important experiences Hugo had.
Firstly, while visiting his grandmother in a small Swedish town, he noticed how easily people interacted with each other. Whether it was in a grocery store queue or on the street, conversations arose spontaneously and naturally. This openness and connection between people seemed commonplace, but in Estonia, we rarely see such interaction. Hugo shared his experience with us, and we realized that bringing such confidence and openness to Estonia could have a very positive impact.
Secondly, we have all always been interested in self-development. We wouldn't say we're insecure, but we know there's always room for improvement. Social skills and self-confidence aren't fixed traits – they can be developed. Together, we came to understand that a game could make this process easier and more fun for everyone, regardless of where they start their journey.
WHY AND WHAT DO WE CREATE?
We created DropYourComfort because self-improvement shouldn't feel like a tedious obligation.
No one gets excited about worksheets, lectures, or forced "sharing circles," but everyone loves a moment of laughter, surprise, or playful chaos.
Communication isn't just for those who consider themselves shy – even the most skilled conversationalists experience moments where confidence wavers or words don't come out quite right. Whether you're an overthinker, an oversharer, or someone who replays conversations in your head three days later – we all deserve tools that make self-expression easier, more fun, and more natural.
DropYourComfort is just the beginning of our journey at TalkSocial.
We are already working on the next edition with even more mind-blowing tasks, and we are planning a whole range of playful self-development tools that will help people grow almost imperceptibly.
Our mission is to transform communication and confidence from something that "needs fixing" into an adventure worth diving headfirst into. If we can inspire courageous conversations, deeper connections, and unexpected breakthroughs—and do it through play—then we know we're on the right track.
